Gareth Pugh : collection spring -summer 2017 in London

Designer : Gareth Pugh Atmosphere : the direction for all the costumes for the spectacle ‘’Eliogabalo’’ the premier of which took place on Friday night at the l’Opéra Garnier in Paris, strongly influenced the designer, morever with a reference to Francis Bacon and the influence of the sun. Fergie & Will I Am were present at the show. Focus on : the volumes with a theatrical touch, like enveloping capes, as well as the fluidity with the purple and white to bring it back towards the sun and the light stripes on the clothing. To note : the suit trousers which became at the same time armour with jackets made like kimonos. Interview with Fergie & Will I Am:Fergie : It was amazing, there were amazing stage costumes I felt like. Will I Am : Stage props ? There’s some stuff I would wear out tonight. Fergie : Oh me too, absolutely, I loved the long leg. Usually Gareth is more about death and he’s very dark, but tonight he was all about gold so it brought out the life, so Gareth wants to party.
