Fashion Forecast - Spring/Summer 2022 (Trendzoom)

Veröffentlicht am
01.06.2021

Tap into the energy of a new season. The fashion issue translates the concepts for spring/summer 2022 into inspirational ideas for women, men and youth sectors. The report creates stories for each theme and covers a wide range of products and accessories including direction for new silhouettes, style lines, proportions, materials and surface pattern. It's an overview of trends, but more importantly it finds the actionable line between commercial and edgy designs.

RISE - youth

The youth sector is quick to embrace this trend as it offers a rush of happy vibes and feel-good comfort. At its core Rise embraces fashion that positively impacts the mood. Impactful designs are part of a shift towards expressive and unique designs that glow with confidence. Prepare for a wave of young individuals read to be seen.

The loungewear trend isn’t going away. Instead styles are developing into a more elevated go-anywhere look. Use high-quality materials with minimal lines in generous proportions. Bold, oversized accessories give this look a contemporary edge.

COEXIST - men

Connection to environmental issues brings the ‘stuff that really matters’ into sharper focus. This awareness fuels a strong drive towards sustainability and circularity. This closer relationship with nature has a grounding effect, apparent in styles with scenic prints, crafted collage constructions and patterns inspired by earthy patinas.

Get inspired by the mid-century lines of ceramics and interior patterns. Translate these into abstract patterns or irregular collage-style panels. Play with contrast colours and linear panels to emphasise design lines.

VISION - women

Vision looks at intelligent design solutions to move forward. Focussing on styles that are stripped of detail but retain a fresh, contemporary edge. At the core of the trend are trusted classics, which are pushed into an unfamiliar territory of exaggerated and reimagined shapes.

Take inspiration from the archives of Martin Margiela and study the construction of garments - their inner workings. Make features of seams, edges, stitching and shoulder pads. Leave edges raw and frayed and highlight with contrast stitching.

Get more than inspiration - get involved in the real changes happening in fashion.
